A four person team mounted on horseback. A herd of yearlings are held behind the line. Three riders shall act as herd holders. When the fourth rider approaches the line, the announcer will call a number which has been drawn for them. Roper must cut his/her numbered animal from the herd, drive it across the line, and proceed to rope and mug it to the ground. Any three legs must be tied in a cross bow fashion. Time will stop once the competitors and all ropes are clear from the steer. The steer must remain tied for at least six seconds. There is a three minute time limit.
