The calcutta is an optional event that increases audience participation. At the beginning of the rodeo teams enter the arena during the grand entry, and immediately following spectators are able to "place bids" through auction to purchase a team for the day, highest bid wins that team.
All monies generated in the calcutta are grouped. 10% is taken off the top, and goes towards the Host Committee; an additional 10% goes towards the MRRA. Person(s) whom purchased the teams that ended the day with the top 4 placing's of points win the remaining money. The remaining 80% is paid out at 40% for a team placing first, 30% for a second placing team, 20% for a third place, and 10% to the fourth place.

An agenda will be set up for this meeting and will be sent out by October 19th, so if you have an item to be discussed at the meeting then it must be sent to Bev by October 13, 2013 at 10:00 pm so she can have time to put it on the agenda to give everyone the opportunity to review what is going to be discussed prior to the meeting. Any NEW BUSINESS that is not sent in by October 13, 2013 or brought up at the meeting will be either dealt with by the Board of Directors at their next meeting or tabled for the following AGM.
